Every year the EUAP contributes a newspaper supplement under the theme of EU-HK exchange in occasion of the Europe Day (9 May). This year, EUAP Deputy Director Prof. Werner Hess has written an article titled “Smart Cities in the European Union” & “歐盟的智慧城市？” (translated) for the South China Morning Post and MingPao respectively.
The article tries to take a close look at the characteristics of the European smart cities and what role does the European Union play in their urban development.
