Congratulations to the HKMEU2014 Winners!

On 25th-26th April 2014, more than 40 students from local universities have joined the 2-day HKMEU conference where they played the roles of Heads of State and Government of the European Union member states to discuss “EU Cyber Security Strategy" in a summit and tried to reach consensus. This was held in co-operation with the European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao (EUO) in the Council Chamber of HKBU.



Here are the winners of the HKMEU who have won participation in the EUAP summer programme at EU institutions in Brussels (June 2014). :

Visit to the European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao

On 29 March 2014 (Sat), 40 MEU participants were acting as government officials of the European Union and the People's Republic of China. Very challenging questions were raised by the media representatives (Dr. Krzysztof Sliwinski & Mr. Asad Beg) after the participants presented their China-EU joint statements.

Keep up the spirit and we see you next on 25 April the HKMEU conference!

Results announced - Welcome to HKMEU 2014!

Warm welcome to Hong Kong Model European Union 2014.

If you have received our email, this means you have successfully registered for the HKMEU 2014.

Some useful information concerning the exercise:

1. The trainings start 1st March 2014 and will be held every Saturday 10:00 – 14:00 (lunch break included) from 1st March till 29nd March. First 4 trainings will be held at Hong Kong Baptist University, Academic and Administration Bld., F/5, R. 505.
2. Bear in mind that your participation in the training is part and parcel of the whole exercise and therefore basis for evaluation of your performance towards the final prize (It is expected that you attend all trainings if possible).
3. Please do bring HKD 200 (cash) with you for the first training as registration fee. Bear in mind that if you chose to drop out, the registration fee will not be refunded to you.
4. The basic platform of information for the HKMEU 2014 will be BUMoodle. The course is already created with all relevant files (guidelines and url links). During the first training you will be shown how to use this platform (log in and uploading of documents).
5. During the first training you will draw lots to represent a particular country - EU Member state. This will be valid for the whole exercise (trainings and final conference).

Thanks for coming to the Info session. Registration now open!

The registration for HKMEU 2014 is now open till 7 February.

At the information session held yesterday @ HKBU, Dr. Sliwinski,Coordinator of MEU, gave the audiences a brief introduction on - what is MEU - the European Council - highlights of MEU 2013. Joscelin Yeung and Kyle Chan, participants from HKMEU 2013, shared their experiences and feelings acting as the government heads of Slovenia and Malta respectively.

The long-waited launch!

Finally the news of HKMEU is here!

We have the HKMEU website and facebook launched. From 13-17Jan, the Committee of HKMEU will be at the counter on Li Promendate (near WLB, Shaw Campus, HKBU). If you happen to pass by, drop by and taken a flyer (or ten) with you! They are so eager to share with you the experiences from HKMEU 2013.

If you wish to spread the news around, go to the DOWNLOAD CORNER, you are very welcome to download the bright yellow promotional poster, flyer and the official invitation! (of course we'd be most happy to see you stick on your wall;-) )

Our crew will come up with the most interesting news related to the European Union and MEU updates on the facebook page. Meanwhile, this website will serve as a platform for all official news and informations.
