Ashkan and Leon had a visit to their groupmates’ school SKH Lam Woo Memorial Secondary School with Mrs. Monika Scheurmann, their teacher in the Gymnasium Oberalster.

The winners in the HK-EU School e-Learning Projects 2016 have visited in Hong Kong between 8/5/2017 and 12/5/2017 in an award tour sponsored by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Brussels and Berlin). The two sustainable ambassadors are Ashkan Naebian and Leon Ahmadi from Germany. With the task to design of the community project, they collaborated with three students from Hong Kong to suggest people to buy plastic-free products. Their project “Act Responsibly – Buy Plastic-Free!” educates us to make our own efforts to reduce buying the pre-packed food in plastic wraps and containers and pave a way to a greener and more sustainable lifestyle.

Ashkan and Leon enjoyed the visit to Hong Kong. Through their few-day observation, they have found that the development in Hong Kong is rapid, still, with numerous cranes and construction sites everywhere. They were also awed by the skyline of the city. They shared their unforgettable experience of using chopsticks for the first time, wandering around the signature wet markets in Hong Kong, and taking a day trip to the fishing village Tai O. During the trip, they also attended a guided visit to Ma Wan. Despite its proximity to the town centre of Tsuen Wan, the neighborhood carriers a mandate to initiate a low-pollution and traffic-limited approach. Ashkan and Leon also had the chance to walk around the windmill station.
