Have you heard of USE-IT maps? Many European cities have a USE-IT map, which is created, maintained and updated by local youths; while stays free-of-charge yet does not rely on advertisements. Tourists could take advantage of these maps to discover the best local cuisines and scenic spots. USE-IT maps are reprinted and updated every year, and its production costs comes from governments, universities, the public (crowdfunding) or private organisations, however they all have to respect the initiator’s editorial independence. Next time when you visit Europe, don’t forget to print out a USE-IT map!
