The most memorable was that the Spanish students were very friendly, and were so proactive in understanding our needs and ideas. I think the project has been really worthwhile, because we didn't only learn about what Hong Kong has done on sustainability and the urban revitalisation scheme, we also learned about how the Spanish side implemented rooftop greening and whether it was sustainable, in addition to their culture.

The most significant difference was the fact that we cooperated and exchanged with the Spanish students in this big project, whereas previously our projects were limited to those within the school. It felt fresh, and at start it was not so easy to communicate, we used Skype but then we realised that using Whatsapp was actually better.

I found interesting the fact that I didn't know many of the terms about sustainability that were given to us, and I have been able to learn about them and what applications they could have in this project. We also have gathered information about different techniques and methods which are related to sustainability that are used all around the world and can be put in practise in our environment in order to improve green living in our city. I learnt a lot about sustainability and what I could do in my daily life in order to help both the environment and my city while improving my English.

I found the researching weeks the most interesting because it allowed each of us to learn and share the gathered information. At the end of these weeks I was more aware of the problems and the possible solutions to the sustainability problem that we chose as a group. I think this was a unique experience to work together with students from a different part of the world.

The experience has been great and we, my students and I, have learned a lot throughout the Project. I could follow their performance and check theirs assignments regularly and I realised they were working well, especially when they started their videoconferences and collaborative work with their Hong-Kong mates. Our students have found the project tasks very attractive and they made us think and discuss about sustainability and their lifestyles. Through them they realise that we need change both the public and private policies on sustainability and everything involved, as well as our daily habits on consumption, transport and waste production.

We stuck very closely to the suggested lesson plan, and had a very lively discussion about the ideas in the videos from the learning materials.   The students have enjoyed working on the research tasks. They say that they are learning a lot from the more in depth look at a single topic. At the same time they find that the tasks are not overwhelming. The Blackboard platform seems a bit mazy to them at times but they are feeling more comfortable the more they use it.

All students put a lot of effort into making their projects come to life. Among the activities, children of our primary section were taught about sustainability by their secondary school peers who joined the project, and now organic food was handed out and our school club is now equipped with solar cell phone chargers. These initiatives have already had an effect on the awareness regarding sustainability at our school.

I want to mention that this project is having an important role at our school because there's been high motivation on the rest of students from the group level when they notice how enthusiastic they are with all the activities that have been promoted throughout these last two months of the project.

My evaluation is really satisfactory because they are 14 and 15 years old and they are talking and discussing about topics that have been listening to in regular lessons, but now have become more real to them with the project and have made them aware of them from different points of view.

We have been searching various sources of materials and exchanging more ideas in our projects. Students learned to develop their own pace of working and "division of labour" in the team. We also enjoyed communicating with different teams from different countries, sharing interesting views and becoming friends!

It has been an honour working with such dedicated and passionate individuals from all over the world. It was very satisfying to see that they cared deeply about bringing change to this world and making it a better place. I also admired their desire to think about the kind of future they want the coming generations to have. I would really like to take part in any similar projects in the future as I am very sure that it will open my horizon and I will hopefully get a chance to learn more about other similar topics and problems the world might be facing at this time.
