Conference “Enforcing Competition Law in Hong Kong and the European Union
On December 14 2015, the Hong Kong Competition Ordinance became fully effective. The Ordinance, which is Hong Kong’s first cross-sector competition law, is modeled on various experienced competition regimes, including that of the European Union. As the first investigations of the Hong Kong Competition Commission get under way, this conference gathers a range of experts – enforcers, practitioners, academics, industry representatives and competition law students – based in Hong Kong and the EU to discuss enforcement priorities and the challenges that lie ahead for effective enforcement.
