Event Description:
This will be an introductory event showcasing the city of Hamburg, including history, economic situation and future development plans. It will have a particular focus on the European Green Capital Award 2011, its attendant municipal policies and an assessment of ‘green’ development strategies until today. The talk will sketch an outlook over further ‘green’ policies up to and including the Olympic Games 2024, in the light of European climate protection and energy consumption reduction objectives (‘Strategy 2020’).
This is a CCL event for HKBU students.
