Mathew is Head of the Division of Landscape Architecture, within the HKUrbanLab, and teaches landscape design studio, sustainable development, and professional practice.
His current research addresses issues of greening and public health, public space and walkability in high density cities, the urban forest, urban agriculture and green roof systems. He has more than 25 years of practice experience in Hong Kong, South East Asia and the UK, and has been involved in a number of high profile projects including the Hong Kong Wetland Park and the Penny’s Bay Development for Hong Kong Disneyland.
