DR. STEFAN KRAKHOFER

VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITECTURE AND CIVIL ENGINEERING, CITY UNIVERSITY OF HONG KONG

StefanKrakhoferDr. Krakhofer is a qualified Building Engineer, registered Architect, passionate Software Developer and enthusiastic Educator. 

He has designed and built in America, Europe and Asia, ranging from furniture & interiors to mixed-use development & master-plans. His work has been published in national & international magazines, and exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale, the Hong Kong Biennale of Urbanism and Architecture, and the Architecture Centre Vienna.

Stefan holds a Master of Architecture, a Master of Science in Computing & Design, and a Doctorate in the Architectural Science. He is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at City University Hong Kong, Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering. Dr Krakhofer is teaching Architectural Design with a focus on digital design technologies, 3D/4D BIM and digital fabrication. His multi-disciplinary background in architecture, engineering, and computing enabled a specialization in design tooling & digital craftsmanship. His research is concerned with new models of design thinking, and emerging modes of practice that transforms due to the pervasive role of information.
