Dominic Weiss studied European Union Politics at the University of Limerick / Ireland and holds a Master’s degree in Political Science of the University of Vienna. He is currently the Head of Public Affairs Management / Smart City Vienna Agency.
Smart City Vienna is a long-term initiative of the city of Vienna aiming to improve the design, development and perception of the Austrian capital region by looking at a cross-section of the city. It covers all areas of life, work and leisure activities in equal measure and includes everything from infrastructure, energy and mobility to all aspects of urban development. Vienna pursues a holistic ‘smart city’ concept, trying to modernize the city consistently and continuously in order to reduce energy consumption and emissions significantly without having to forego any aspects of consumption or mobility.
