Wolfgang Hurtienne completed his engineering studies at the Technical University of Braunschweig (civil engineering). Since 1984, he has held various positions on the port of Hamburg’s management team. For many years he was in charge of Port Planning & Development. In 2009 he was appointed Managing Director of the HPA.
Malte Siegert studied politics and joined NABU (Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union), Germany’s major environmental organization, in 2003. After working several years for the NABU federal association in Berlin, he is currently Head of Environmental Policy of the NABU Section Hamburg.
First Director General Susanne Metz is Head of the Directorate General for Regional and Urban Planning as part of the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, City State of Hamburg, Germany.
