Wolfgang Hurtienne completed his engineering studies at the Technical University of Braunschweig (civil engineering). Since 1984, he has held various positions on the port of Hamburg’s management team. For many years he was in charge of Port Planning & Development. In 2009 he was appointed Managing Director of the HPA.
